About GameHostReviews
Who we are, how we make money, and why our reviews are worth reading.
Why this site exists
Game hosting is an unusually difficult thing to buy. The specifications are vague, the entry prices are discounted in ways the renewal price is not, and almost every "top 10 hosts" article you will find is an affiliate page dressed up as journalism.
We built GameHostReviews to be the boring, useful alternative: real reviews from people who ran the server, and a scoring system you can audit.
How we are funded
Some links to providers are affiliate links, which means we may earn a commission if you sign up. That is disclosed on every page it applies to, and it has no bearing on scores. Community scores are arithmetic — the mean of what reviewers gave — and we cannot adjust them even if we wanted to.
We do not sell placement. A provider cannot pay to rank higher, to have a review removed, or to have their page taken down.
Who writes the reviews
You do. Anyone signed in through Steam can review a provider they have hosted with. Every submission is read by a person before it appears — see our review policy for exactly what we check and what we reject.
Corrections
If something on this site is wrong — a specification, a price, a claim in a review — tell us and we will fix it. We would much rather be corrected than be confidently wrong.
