Web hosting

Plenty of game hosts also sell web hosting — usually cPanel, usually cheap, often bundled with a community site or a game panel. These are the ones we track, scored on the same reviews as everything else here.

Why buy web hosting from a game host

Mostly convenience: one company, one invoice, one support queue for the community site and the game server. Several hosts on this page will bundle them.

Be honest with yourself about what you need, though. If you are hosting a serious business site, a dedicated web host will usually beat a game host on uptime guarantees and on support that understands web stacks. Where a game host wins is the community case — a forum, a wiki, a stats page or a Discord landing page sitting next to the server it belongs to.

What to check

  • Control panel. cPanel is the common one and the one most tutorials assume. Some hosts use their own panel, which is fine until you want to migrate away.
  • What "unlimited" means. It never means unlimited. Read the fair-use clause, particularly on inodes and CPU.
  • Backups. Ask how often, how far back, and whether restoring one costs money.
  • Migration. Most hosts will move an existing site for free. Ask before you buy, not after.

The scores below come from reviews of the company, not of its web hosting specifically — a host that treats game customers badly rarely treats web customers better, but read the reviews for what they actually cover.
