The short version

Some links to hosting providers on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may receive a commission. You pay exactly the same price either way.

What that does and does not affect

It does not affect scores. Community scores are the arithmetic mean of approved reviews. There is no field anywhere in our system that lets anyone adjust a score, and there never will be.

It does not affect ranking. Listings sort by score, review count, price or name — whichever you choose. Nothing sorts by commission.

It does not affect whether we list a provider. We list providers because players use them, including ones we have no commercial relationship with at all.

It does affect which links we can offer. Where we have an affiliate relationship the button goes through it; where we do not, it goes straight to the provider. Both are marked.

Why we disclose this prominently

Because the alternative is what most of this industry does, and it is the single biggest reason hosting "reviews" are not trusted. We would rather tell you and be believed on everything else.
